Mastering the Mysteries of Love
Mastering the Mysteries of Love is a 16-18 hour Relationship Enhancement (RE) program for couples. Through 40 years of intensive study and respected research, Dr. Bernard Guerney developed RE to identify the most effective ways to change how couples communicate, and to increase relationship satisfaction. RE skills can even be effective when couples are experiencing problems of a very serious nature, such as infidelity, addictive behavior patterns, or a mental disorder.
Dr. Guerney and Mary Ortwein, M.S., MFT, collaboratively created the Mastering the Mysteries of Love (MML) curriculum for couples, based upon all of the concepts and skills of the RE program. Through honesty, compassion, and understanding, RE teaches couples to communicate effectively, develop efficient conflict resolution skills, strengthen trust and respect, and deepen intimacy.
Mastering the Mysteries of Love is a course where participants learn by doing. Instruction includes group discussions, audio-visuals, live demonstrations, role playing, and practice activities. During the program, couples learn to successfully work through the issues and stress points of their relationships through guided couple dialogues. They learn the following 10 essential relationship enhancement skills, which equip them to achieve cooperation, understanding, closeness, confidence, safety and satisfaction:

The MML program can be formatted as eight evening sessions, a one day program plus four evening sessions, or as a two day program.
Couples consistently report very positive growth and healing in their relationship as a result of completing the MML program.
