Prepare/Enrich
Prepare/Enrich is a program developed by Life innovations, Inc. It is based upon a set of five inventories that examine major relationship issues a couple may experience. The five inventories are as follows:
- Prepare: For pre-marital couples
- Prepare-MC: For pre-marital couples with children
- Prepare-CC: For cohabitating couples with or without children
- Enrich: For married couples with or without children
- Mate: Couples over the age of 50
These inventories must be administered by a trained Prepare/Enrich counselor. Each CCC center has therapists who have been trained and certified to administer the Prepare/Enrich inventories.
Once couples complete their inventories, a number of counseling sessions are facilitated by their therapist based upon the results. The sessions also include exercises designed to help improve relationship skills, and to help the couple integrate the assessment results into their relationship experience.
The Prepare/Enrich program has six goals to strengthen the relationship bond and increase satisfaction.
- To explore relationship strengths and growth areas
- To learn assertive communication and active listening skills
- To learn how to resolve conflict using the Ten Step model
- To help the couple discuss their family of origin
- To help the couple with financial planning and budgeting
- To focus on personal, couple and family goals
The five couple inventories also assess twenty relationship areas.
