Maria is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University. Maria enjoys working with children, adolescents, youth, individuals and families. Clinical areas of interest include anxiety, depression, ADHD, school issues, developmental disabilities, and discipline and behavior challenges.

Maria has also worked at other non-profit agencies including The Bayview Hunters Point Foundation Mental Health Services and at Edgewood Center for Children and Families serving clients in community clinic and school-based settings. In addition, she also volunteers with Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) in San Mateo where she provides mental health services for victims of domestic violence.

She is active in her church and serves in the church music ministry.
