Louis is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who completed his Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Addiction Studies Certificate at Western Seminary in Los Gatos, CA on June 28, 2009. The Master's program prepared him to integrate Theology, Psychological Theories & Techniques, Practical Biblical application that will effectively help clients to obtain their personal treatment goals and objectives. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Human Development from California State University in Hayward on March 18, 2005. Louis is an Associate Pastor at an East Bay church serving as their Couples Enrichment Minister for the past 11 years providing marital and family pastoral counseling. He also serves as a chaplain to the Jr. Deacons Ministry ages 6-18 years old. Louis co-facilitates with his wife a 13 week pre-marital class in the spring and fall. He served as an alcohol & substance abuse peer-assistance coordinator for 10 years. Louis has been an active participant in the twelve step therapeutic recovery community for 24 years, including meetings, service and sponsorship.
