Are you having a difficult time with your child’s behavior toward you, toward siblings, toward friends, or toward teachers?
As a parent you undoubtedly want each family member to enjoy loving and meaningful relationships. Yet you question if you are doing enough to help your child develop into a loving, responsible person.
I work with families who may be experiencing the effects of drugs and alcohol, divorce, anxiety, depression, attention deficits, loss of a loved one, lack of friends, or the adjustment to a chronic, medical diagnosis such as diabetes or cancer.
My approach is to create an accepting, supportive, non-judgmental partnership with parents and children. It is my hope that through our time together, you will learn to better cope with problems as they arise, to openly communicate with one another, and to manage your conflicts in a new and more mutually satisfying way.
At times parents and children question their faith and the role of Christ’s teachings in their lives. In order to better serve these individuals I studied at a seminary outside Boston, MA where I earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. While I developed a specialty in working with individuals who are Christian, I also welcome the opportunity to work with families of all faiths.
