Miatta Watkins is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist. She earned a Master's degree in counseling, with a concentration in Marriage, Family and Child counseling from Fresno State University.

Miatta has expertise in the treatment of adolescents. She specializes in the areas of individual therapy and family therapy for ethnically and culturally diverse adolescents, ranging in age from 12 to 18. She is particularly effective in working with those with serious emotional and behavioral challenges. She has extensive experience working with adolescents with a history of neglect, physical abuse, and sexual abuse.

Miatta has over 15 years of experience working in adolescent residential facilities, in collaboration with county mental health agencies, child protective services, juvenile probation, and both foster care and adoption agencies.

She is very active in her church, and provides assistance with couples counseling and family counseling.
