Yuka is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She offers therapy to individuals, adults, adolescents, children, couples, and groups with such issues as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma and abuse, life transition, marriage and divorce, including pre-marital counseling. She has been trained in the field of counseling, servicing in counseling centers in both in the US and Singapore since 1998. Also, she provided counseling for children, adolescents, and their parents in elementary and middle schools in the Cupertino school district in California.
Yuka enjoys facilitating educational classes such as self-care, parenting, or stress management and giving talks in the local community. Besides her private practice, Yuka has also been helping out in the Psychological Services Department at the College of San Mateo, providing counseling for international college students.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Ritsumeikan University in Japan, and further studied psychology at Keio University in Japan and biblical studies at Emmaus Bible College in Iowa. She completed her post-graduate studies in social work, receiving training and counseling at the National University of Singapore and in counseling psychology at John F. Kennedy University in California.

She has been a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
