Jacob is a graduate of Western Seminary, Los Gatos, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Addiction Studies. Jacob is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and is a California State Mandated Domestic Violence Intern. He is also an Intern at New Life Community Center, a substance abuse recovery clinic in Santa Cruz. Jacob's clinical training started at Christian Counseling Centers in San Jose and New Beginnings where he worked for three years counseling individuals and facilitating groups involved in domestic violence. His counseling focus includes domestic violence, substance abuse, grief counseling, marital and pre-marital counseling, loss, crisis, and trauma. He also has a sincere passion for helping those in pastoral and church leadership. Jacob has served in ministry for more than twenty-five years, has been married for thirty three years and has five grown children.
