Diana loves working with men and women who are ready and willing to do what it takes to make their lives and their relationships better. She enjoys being her clients’ companion and guide on their journeys of discovery, healing and growth. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Diana sees individuals, couples and families in her clinical practice. She helps clients find resolution to problems of depression, anxiety, couples’ discord, family conflicts, low self-esteem, and impact of abuse and trauma, restoring love, peace and joy in their lives. Diana employs an integrative approach to therapy,
where elements of various cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, supportive, and systemic therapies are brought together in ways that are tailored to each client’s individual needs. She is also a facilitator of the PREPARE/ENRICH program for pre-marital counseling and marriage enrichment.
Besides traditional psychotherapy, Diana is passionate about helping her clients who feel lost about their life directions with career exploration and identity development. Having spent years of her life
“in the fast lane” before uncovering her calling as a therapist, she deeply understands how the strivings for worldly success can mask a person’s true heart and unique potential. She finds great joy in helping her clients discover who they really are and putting them on the road to living their lives to the full. Her experience in the business world, coupled with insights into personal characteristics
and interpersonal dynamics, also helps her clients achieve more effective functioning in the workplace.
Diana grew up in Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese Chinese. She has worked extensively with immigrants who are struggling with issues of adjustment and families navigating the intersection of Asian and American cultures. As a Christian whose life has been transformed by the power of Christ, Diana delights in integrating spirituality with psychological well-being in her work with clients for whom spirituality is a relevant part of their lives.
Diana has an MA in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist she had worked in management consulting with McKinsey & Company, in private equity, and in high
tech product management. As a therapist Diana has worked at community agencies including Youth and Family Enrichment Services and Donaldina Cameron House, and in a K-8 public school setting where she conducted The Children’s Place program for children of alcoholics. She also served as a Biblical counselor at Central Peninsula Church in Foster City. Diana is a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
