Dr. Austin is an adult and child psychologist. She specializes in the treatment of couples and families.

Dr. Austin is dedicated to restoring hope in marriages that are severely stressed or in crisis; She does this in part by guiding couples through a therapeutic process based on the empirically proven findings of John Gottman, Ph.D.'s 30+ years of research on married couples. This process is both emotionally transforming and educational. She also enjoys working with folks who are undergoing a life transition and is experienced in treating adult and child depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, sexual addiction, drug and alcohol addiction and recovery.

Dr. Austin completed her clinical training at California Pacific Medical Center's Department of Outpatient Psychiatry with a specialization in child and family psychology. She is on the Clinical Faculty in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University and maintains a private practice on the peninsula and in San Francisco.
