Emily McCormick’s specialty is counseling children impacted by life events such as abuse, divorce, death and family disruption. She also works with children and teens who are experiencing emotional difficulties such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and acting out behaviors. She is a strong believer in early intervention when a child is having trouble emotionally, and in working closely with the parents to help the child. Emily also enjoys working with adults who seek counseling to grow emotionally and understand how past experiences have affected them.

Emily has a specialty in counseling couples experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss. Emily is a graduate of Wheaton College and the University of Illinois, Chicago, and since 1988 has worked in schools, agencies, and private practice. She and her husband moved to California in 2003. She is a board member of KidsDom, a Christian agency working to provide help to children in orphanages in Russia, and is active in her church.
