Emily McCormick, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who works with individuals, couples, children and teens. She is certified to provide premarital counseling and enjoys working with couples who want to develop a stronger marriage.

Emily has a specialty is working with families impacted by life events such as abuse, divorce, death and family disruption. She periodically offers group classes for parents who want support and education to manage co-parenting and step family issues, and groups for children who have experienced divorce or separation, or are coping with anxiety.

She also works with children and teens who are experiencing emotional difficulties such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and acting out behaviors. She is a strong believer in early intervention when a child is having trouble emotionally, and in working closely with the parents to help the child.

Emily is a graduate of Wheaton College and the University of Illinois, Chicago, and since 1988 has worked in schools, agencies, and private practice. She is a volunteer with Children's HopeChest, a Christian agency providing hope and help to children in orphanages in Russia and is active in her church. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
