Karen, MFT Intern offers therapy for individuals and couples who wish to work on relationship issues. She also specializes in helping couples, individuals and families dealing with life transitions, self-esteem, substance abuse, codependency, eating disorders, anger management, stress, anxiety, and difficult personal challenges.

Karen's approach is based on identifying "practical solutions" for change. She instills hope and motivation --allowing the healing process to occur one doable step at a time. Karen's clients benefit from her empathic and compassionate, yet no-nonsense and direct approach.

Karen earned her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy and a certification in Addiction Studies from Western Seminary in 2009 and is now under the supervision of Christian Counseling Center. This top-notch supervision and training ensures that her clients receive excellent care. Karen also currently works at Sequoia Hospital where she provides professional counseling, education and facilitates a weight loss support group.
