Lianne Avila is dedicated to helping adults and children that have been touched by Cancer. In January of 2001 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After going through a long nine months of treatment, she got the news she was cancer free. Her passion is to help people thrive after the diagnosis of cancer. She also helps people restore their life after the loss of a loved one. She has experience facilitating support groups for women that have a Breast Cancer diagnosis.

Additionally, Lianne has facilitated many adolescent and children support groups. She understands how divorce can impact a child's life and is committed to helping them during that time. She has experience using play and art therapy with children. She also has extensive experience working with children with behavior problems, Attention Deficit Disorder, and learning disorders. She has a sincere passion in helping adults and children through depression. She is a certified EMDR therapist and specializes in stress reduction.

Lianne graduated from John F. Kennedy, University with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and has 10 years of experience working as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is an active member at Central Peninsula Church. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the Santa Clara Valley, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She is also a public speaker at the American Cancer Society and was the recipient of the Early Detection and Prevention 2010 award in the Greater Bay Area/Redwood Empire Region.
