Miriam is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at San Francisco State University. Her previous experience included working in private and non-profit settings such as Family Service Agency of San Francisco, San Mateo County Mental Health, and SFSU Psychology Clinic where she provided psychotherapy services to a diverse population of students, children, adolescents, adults, and families in the community. Miriam also enjoys working with singles with relationship difficulties. Her clinical areas of focus are depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, personal growth, trauma, abuse, grief and loss. She is also a trained facilitator in PREPARE/ENRICH, (www.prepare-enrich.com ), a scientifically validated program designed for premarital counseling and marriage enrichment. Miriam is bilingual, speaks Portuguese, and is a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
