Suzanne Hughes is dedicated to working with people in life transitions: newly married couples, teens and young adults, and individuals recovering from loss and trauma in their pasts. Her passion is to encourage young people to thrive in their transition to adulthood. Suzanne has worked at Christian Counseling Centers since 1995, and enjoys helping clients develop tools and strategies for dealing with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress.
She has developed The Keystone Principal, a program utilizing a fresh approach to deepen the relationship between teens and their families. Her experience in leading a collaborative team at San Mateo County Mental Health and Half Moon Bay High School gives her an in-depth knowledge of the school system, special education, and probation. She also has extensive knowledge of community resources and collaborative relationships with many outside agencies. She is a public speaker and provides training in teen parenting, Latinos and Mental Health, and is fluent in Spanish. Suzanne received her Master’s Degree from San Jose State University, and is an active member of Peninsula Covenant Church. |
